I made it!
1 month of preparation for and the exhibition itself at the Tokyo Design Festa 2013 (an art event at Tokyo Big Sight) are over.
After had a little time to calm down I want to share my experience about this time with you. This was actually my second time to exhibit at the Tokyo Design Festa this year – but let me start from the beginning:
Until Saturday I was still preparing everything for my booth display and forced myself out of bed on the big day after 5 hours of sleep. It turned out very wise, that we had loaded the car on the night before our departure.
3 hours before this huge art event was supposed to open its doors, we arrived at the hall. (At my last exhibition I calculated only 2 hours for setup which turned out into us having an empty booth at the time of opening. So we wanted to give us more room this time.) It turned out that my ordered wall panel was not set up, so we needed to wait for the staff to fix this small mistake – then we started to design our booth.
Even we were literally rotating since 8 am in the morning to get everything set up as quick as possible, it happened again that we were not 100% set up when the gates opened and the visitors rushed into the hall.
Here the finally finished onegai kaeru booth at it’s best:
And our table decoration:
Also we had something special planned for this event.
Something fun and interactive for the visitors of the Design Festa. We asked people to draw their own original frog face on our board.
The results will be published on our onegai kaeru Facebook and Twitter accounts in the next days and YOU shall select the winner who will receive a present from us!
So help me and choose your favorite frog face drawing!!
(Just let me know in the comments below or directly on Facebook/Twitter.)
Let’s start with frog art:
A quick snack before we continue..
That was it! I hope you did not get confused and can tell me your favorite.
Since we just had a booth for a single day I had almost no chance to see all the other artists work. However I visited a few other fellow exhibitors which I knew from the last time. For example these 2 ladies from Indonesia who made it possible for me to exhibit this time.
And some visitors told me that they had seen someone else selling tooth accessories, so I was checking out this friendly womans booth. She is working at the dentist and is making accessories with tooth implants in her free time. A very funny idea.
Some family members and friends also visited us at the exhibition. That meant a lot to us. Thank you so much for the support.
Here another lovely exhibitor who purchased my leather wing choker. I appreciate every single customer.
I would like to thank all people who have visited our booth at the Tokyo Design Festa this year and everyone who supports us with positive energy! Thank you so much!
And don’t forget to vote for your favorite frog face. I am looking forward to the result!
